These little stress balls are made from balloons and lentils (red & white
photo).
Squeeze them to get rid of frustration, exercise your fingers or just have
fun.
They can be made with play dough instead of lentils (purple photo), but
it's a bit more challenging.
Blow up an 11 inch
balloon.  Hold the air in
for a minute.  Then let
out.  This stretches the
balloon.
Using a funnel, add
lentils until the ball is
desired size.  at the
mouth of the balloon.
Repeat as needed.
Trim just the top lip off
the balloon.  This will
eliminate a lump in the
ball.
Cut neck off the
second balloon.  Slide
over 1st balloon.  This
will secure the neck of
1st balloon.
Cut neck off 3rd
balloon.  Slide over
2nd balloon, covering
the last opening.  The
2nd balloon color
should peak through.
A small part of the 1st
balloon will show.
“There's always tomorrow for
dreams to come true.”
Stress Relief Ball
Blow up an 11 inch
balloon.  Hold the air in
for a minute.  Then let
out.  This stretches the
balloon.
This is the hard part.
It's easier with a
partner.  Have one
person stick 2 fingers
into the balloon
opening & pull wide
while the 2nd person
stuffs little finger
shaped pieces of play
dough inside it. Roll
the balloon around to
work out air bubbles.
Tie shut.
This is tricky too.  Pull
the 2nd balloon
(purple) over the
balloon filled with play
dough (pink).  Once
the inner balloon is
completely inside the
outer balloon, roll/
knead to work out any
air bubbles. Tie shut.
Blow up another
balloon.  Hold the air in
for a minute.  Then let
out.  This stretches the
balloon.
Your stress ball is
ready to help you
relax!  Keep in mind, it
IS a balloon.  It can
only take so much
abuse before it will
tear. Mine lasted a
long time.  My
youngest sons lasted a
long time.  My oldest
son would push his to
the limit until it broke.
He went through
several before I cut
him off.
