From the kitchen of Stephanie Knewasser.  Add either
raisins or chocolate chips to make a traditional
favorite.
Beat until creamy:
1/2 c crisco
1/2 c butter or margarine
1 c brown sugar, packed
1/2 c sugar

Add:
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Add:
1 1/2 c + 2 Tbsps flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Stir in:
3 c oats
3/4 - 1c raisins or chocolate chips

Put on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake @ 350, 13-14 minutes or golden.
Cool 1 minute.  Remove to wire rack.
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies with Chia Seeds
This batch was made with 1 c mini chocolate
chips and
1/4 c chia seeds.  Why add chia
seeds?  They're healthy.  They provide fiber
(weight loss & digestion), omega 3, calcium,
antioxidants & protein.

Healthy Substitution:
Reduce butter to 1/4 c
Add 2 Tbsp Greek Yogurt
This batch was made with raisins.
