From the kitchen of Joyce Lohman. It's good
cooked a long or short time. This was in the first
1 lb bacon
2 medium onions, chopped
2 lb lean hamburger
2 cans pork & beans (15 oz each)
1 can red kidney beans, drained
1 can butter beans, drained
1/2 c brown sugar
1 c ketchup
1 Tbsp liquid smoke
salt & pepper to taste
Fry bacon. Drain, keeping 1/2 c fat.
Fry onions in the bacon fat.
In 2nd frying pan brown & drain hamburg.
Combine hamburg & undrained onion mixture in
crockpot. Crumble up bacon & add to hamburger
Add remaining ingredients to crockpot.
