Carulli, VeliaVelia Lisi Carulli, 102, of Binghamton, went to be with God peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She is predeceased by her parents Emilio and
Maria Lisi; sister Beatrice; husband Sebastiano Carulli (former owner of Little Venice) and son Richard Carulli. Velia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law
Jacqueline Brooks-Capici and Dan Capici; grandson Richard F. Brooks and wife Amie Brooks and daughter Angel; brother Emilio V. Lisi of Chagrin Falls, OH; sister
and brother-in-law Gina and Jack Moore of Woodstock, VT; sister Rina Caracciolo of Mooresville, NC; nieces and nephews Robert and Laura Lisi and family of OH,
Jim and Kim Lisi and family of CA, Joe Caracciolo of NY, Wendy and Lewis Caracciolo and family of NC, Anthony and Kay Putano and family of Binghamton,
Monsignor John Putano of Binghamton, and Steve and Ann Marie Barkwell and family of Binghamton. She came from Patrica, Italy as a young child and worked at
EJ Shoes before starting her family. She loved reading, going to the library, dinners at Red Lobster, her cats Sam and Joe and was still bowling at the age of 97.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 16th at 9:15am at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton. Followed by a
Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, with her nephew Mgsr. John Putano as the main celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society, Project Paw or Broome County Animal Shelter. Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco. - See
