From the kitchen of Stephanie Knewasser. I found
this favorite recipe at allrecipes.com. It has a
buttercream frosting consistency & dries semi-hard
for stacking. It tastes wonderful!
1/3 c crisco
1/3 c margarine
4 c confectioner sugar
2 Tbsp milk
Cream until light & fluffy.
1 tsp vanilla
(also good with lemon or almond)
Divide into bowls,
add food coloring.
Add additional milk if too difficult to spread.
Drys hard, good for stacking.
Frosting kept well covered in fridge for a week.
