I came up with this when I was Class Mom for my son's 4th
grade class. I had to bring in a Halloween craft for the class
to make. It's quick to put together, relatively inexpensive,
and useful too!
I've found that class projects go smoothly when each child
has his own "kit" of a sandwich bag with all the supplies they'll
need. It saves a lot of time. I always have extras with me just
Supplies: pens, toothpicks, fake fingernails, Crayola Model
Magic, glue & ugly nail polish (I brought a purple & green to
the class). With the exception of the Model Magic (available
at craft stores), everything can be purchased at a dollar
Roll model magic dough into a log,
about the length of the pen.
Flatten the model magic dough.
Lay pen on model magic. Pinch
dough around pen, leave tip exposed.
Roll to smooth edges. Pinch dough
to make 2 bulges for knuckles.
Use toothpick to make knuckles.
Use markers to color. Get creative!
Add gashes, stitches, moles, spider
Some pens made by Clay's 4th grade class.
Glue fake fingernail on. I used
tacky glue. Paint with nail polish.

Each child will need a ball of Model
Magic, a pen (no lid), a fake
fingernail & a toothpick. Model Magic
dries out, so keep well wrapped until
ready to use.
