Rub 5 Tbsp oil all over a cookie sheet.
Spread the dough.
Let it rise again.
Bake @ 375 for 8 minutes.
If it isn't a nice golden color, put it back in oven for 2-3
Spread pizza sauce over crust.
Sprinkle with grated Romano cheese.
Put back in oven just to let the sauce get a little firm.
Just so it won't be runny, about 10-15 minutes.
Don't let the sauce get dry.
From the kitchen of Diomira Putano. Aunt Diomira came to
America, from Italy, as a teenager. This is not the typical
American pizza. It's topped with grated Romano instead of
mozzarella. Use Aunt Diomira's Pizza Sauce.
This dough makes a thick crust. The longer it raises, the thicker it
will be. It will continue to raise as it bakes. The edges are golden &
crisp from all of that oil. The center is amazingly soft.
I think 5 Tbsp oil on the cookie sheet is a typo because the oil
sloshed out of the pan when I spread the dough, so I generously
coat the pan without measuring. - Stephanie
