From the kitchen of Kay Putano. These tasty
appetizers are served warm with dipping sauce.
1/2 c soft cream cheese with chives and onions
or plain (8 oz)
To keep wontons from drying out, keep covered
with a damp paper towel.
Take 1 wonton wrapper.
Lightly brush edges with water or beaten egg.
Put heaping tsp of cream cheese in center.
Pinch opposite corners together. Seal shut.
Cover filled wontons with a damp paper towel to
keep them from drying out.
In a deep fryer or deep pan, heat oil to 375.
Fry wontons, a few at a time, for 1 to 3 minutes or
Drain on paper towels.
Serve warm with sweet Thai chili sauce for dipping.
