butter for ultimate flavor or bake it in the oven for a healthier option.
Boneless chicken breasts, pounded thin
Italian bread crumbs
for Stovetop Breaded Chicken, you'll also need:
egg, salt, pepper & garlic powder
Baked Breaded Chicken:
Preheat oven to 350
Combine the bread crumbs & romano cheese (1 cup to 1 Tbsp ratio)
Rinse chicken breasts.
Coat with melted butter.
Coat with bread crumb/ romano mixture.
Place on cookie sheet lined with foil.
Bake 20 minutes.
Flip over & bake additional 10-20 minutes (the thicker it is, the longer
it will take)
Center cut to check for doneness.
Breaded outside doesn't darken.
Stovetop Breaded Chicken:
Mix bread crumbs & romano.
Mix egg, salt, pepper & garlic powder (shake of each).
Dip chicken in egg mix, then bread crumb mix.
Melt butter or margarine in a pan on stovetop.
Cook chicken in butter, turning, until cooked through.
This batch was made on the stove top with margarine.
