From the kitchen of Terri Janecek

If you're familiar with Weight Watchers, you understand the 1 Point. If not, the 1 point means that they're low fat & won't ruin your diet. Unless, of course, you eat half the batch at one sitting. Try them with Motts Strawberry Applesauce instead of plain.

Combine:

2 Tbsp shortening

1/4 cup applesauce

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

Add:

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 cup oatmeal

Add:

1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.

Makes 33-36 cookies

Comments

I make the following changes: 1/4 c brown sugar, 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 c Splenda, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla -Stephanie
