Apple Cake

Cream:

1 c butter

2 c sugar

Add:

3 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

Add:

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp nutmeg

3 c flour

Gently stir in:

1 c chopped walnuts

3 to 4 c peeled chopped apples, any size pieces

This makes a thick batter.

Spread into a greased & floured tube pan.

Cook at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes.

Cool for 15 minutes & turn it over onto a plate.

Frost with cream cheese frosting or a dusting of confectioner sugar.

NOTES

  • I’ve made it with 1/2 c butterscotch chips in place of the nuts.
    For a 13×9 pan, bake @ 350 for 1 hour . -Stephanie
