Pizza- Tony’s

From the kitchen of Tony Putano

Mix together in a bowl:

3 Tbsp sugar

4 Tbsp oil

1 tsp salt

Add:

1 egg

Set aside.

Dissolve:

1 package yeast

1 c milk or water, warmed

Add to first mixture.

Slowly add:

3 1/2 c flour

Stir with spoon or hand.

Knead & let raise until double.

Oil pans & spread.

Bake @ 350, 10 – 15 minutes

Top with sauce and Romano cheese.

Bake about 10 more minutes.

NOTES:

  • I make this with a bread machine, layering in this order: warmed water/ milk on bottom, dry ingredients, egg, yeast. Use pizza dough setting. Proceed with spreading dough in oiled pan. – Stephanie
  • The longer you let this rise, the thicker it will be. It continues to rise while baking. Top with Aunt Diomira’s Pizza Sauce. This is almost identical to Aunt Diomira’s pizza.
