From the kitchen of Joyce Lohman
Mix:
2 c flour
2 c brown sugar
1/2 c butter
Blend until crumbly.
Stir in:
1 c chopped nuts
Press 2 1/4 c of crumb mixture in a 13×9 pan.
To remaining mixture add:
1-2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 c sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
Blend well.
Stir in:
2 c apples, peeled & chopped
Pour over crust.
Bake @ 350 for 25-30 minutes
Frosting:
1/3 c butter
3 oz cream cheese
2 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp milk
Add milk until spreading consistency.
