Cover.<\/p>\n<p>Reduce heat to med-low.<\/p>\n<p>Simmer 20-30 minutes OR until beans are tender when pierced with tip of knife.<\/p>\n<p>Add more water if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Frozen beans take half the time.<\/p>\n<p>Drain.<\/p>\n<p>Season with:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>1\/2 tsp dried thyme<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>1\/2 tsp salt or salt substitute<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>fresh ground black pepper,<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;to taste<\/p>\n<p>Squeeze of&nbsp;<strong><em>fresh lemon juice<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Toss &amp; serve.<\/p>\n<p>NOTES<\/p>\n<p>My favorite way to eat these are with a baked potato.<br \/>These were done in just 15 minutes.
