oil<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 medium onion, chopped<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 celery rib, chopped<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/2 small green pepper, chopped<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>4 garlic cloves, minced<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cook 5 minutes or until veggies start to soften.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 lbs ground beef<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir, breaking up meat, as it cooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When beef is fully cooked, drain grease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 large (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 Tbsp brown sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 Tbsp vinegar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 tsp mustard<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 Tbsp steak sauce<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1 Tbsp Italian seasoning<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 tsp salt<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 tsp pepper<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 tsp paprika<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 bay leaves<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simmer on low, covered, 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir occasionally to keep goulash from sticking to bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remove bay leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 c water or beef broth<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 c uncooked elbow macaroni<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cover and simmer on low for 15 to 20 minutes, or until macaroni is cooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If there&#8217;s more liquid than you want, cook with lid off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Optional) Stir in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1-2 c shredded cheddar cheese<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Makes 8 (1\/2 c) servings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stephanie
