softened<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1\/2 c Crisco<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1\/2 c sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 c packed brown sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cream for 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Add:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>2 eggs<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>2 tsp real vanilla OR 1 Tbsp imitation vanilla<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Add:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 tsp baking soda<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 tsp salt<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>2 1\/2 c bread flour*<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Add:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1 1\/2 c semi sweet chocolate chips<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Chill dough for at least half an hour.<\/p>\n<p>Roll into balls (I use a 1 1\/2&#8243; ice cream scoop).<\/p>\n<p>Bake @ 375, 7 minutes or until edges begin to color. See photos below.<\/p>\n<p>Let set on the baking sheet (so they continue to cook) for 2 minutes before transferring.<\/p>\n<p>This dough freezes great!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert; background-color: var( --nutmeg-background-color ); color: var( --nutmeg-primary-text-color ); font-family: var( --nutmeg-ff-primary );\">* If using all purpose flour, add 2 Tbsp extra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>NOTES:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The cookie size determines how long they need to cook.
