class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mix together:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>500 g flour (4 c)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>250 g brown sugar (1 c + 2 Tbsp packed)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 tsp salt<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 egg<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cut in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>400 g butter (3 1\/2 sticks or 1 3\/4 c)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Refrigerate at least 30 min, but not overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add flour if dough is too sticky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roll dough on a floured surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cut into circles using a glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Place circles on cookie sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add a spoonful of&nbsp;<strong><em>almond filling (canned)<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;to each circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Top with another circle of dough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seal cookie together by pressing a fork into sides- all around each cookie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Top each cookie with an&nbsp;<strong><em>almond slice<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whisk an&nbsp;<em><strong>egg<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brush each cookie top with egg wash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bake @ 350 for 22-30
