Pie Crust (Crisco)<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make and bake one pie crust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peanut Butter Layer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

1\/2 c peanut butter<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 c confectioner sugar<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reserve 2 Tbsp. Set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sprinkle remaining mixture over hot pie crust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Custard Layer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Cook until bubbly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 c milk<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2\/3 c sugar<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Tbsp butter or margarine<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\/4 c cornstarch<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 tsp vanilla<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 egg yolks<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour over peanut butter layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meringue Layer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Beat until soft peaks form:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 egg whites<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gradually add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 Tbsp sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beat to form stiff peaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spread meringue over custard layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be sure to seal meringue to entire edge of crust to prevent shrinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bake @ 400, 8 – 10 minutes or golden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
