{"id":3087,"date":"2023-06-08T19:29:25","date_gmt":"2023-06-08T19:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/?p=3087"},"modified":"2026-05-31T20:48:55","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T20:48:55","slug":"peach-cobbler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/peach-cobbler\/","title":{"rendered":"Peach Cobbler"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From the kitchen of Stephanie Knewasser<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Combine in a bowl:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>6 c peaches, peeled and sliced<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 c sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 c brown sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 tsp cinnamon<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/8 tsp nutmeg<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 tsp lemon juice<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>3 Tbsp tapioca<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour into an ungreased 8&#215;8 pan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bake @ 425 for 10 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the same bowl, combine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 c flour<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 c sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 c brown sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 tsp baking powder<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/2 tsp salt<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a pastry blender, mix in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>6 Tbsp butter, cut into small pieces<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1\/4 c hot water<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mix just until combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spoon over peach mixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sprinkle with<strong><em>&nbsp;cinnamon sugar.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bake @ 425 for 30 minutes or until golden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NOTES<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The tapioca does not flavor the filling, but is used as a thickener.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I&#8217;ve only made it with fresh peaches, so I&#8217;m not sure if it needs to be adapted for canned peaches.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stephanie Knewasser<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":3088,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5,25],"tags":[582,672,102,211,106,41],"class_list":["post-3087","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-desserts","category-fruity","tag-ben","tag-cobbler","tag-fruity","tag-peach","tag-recipe","tag-stephanie-knewasser","latest_post"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 5.0.0.1 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"We had this Peach Cobbler at Ben&#039;s house &amp; I had to have the recipe.
