{"id":3402,"date":"2023-06-17T02:25:05","date_gmt":"2023-06-17T02:25:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/?p=3402"},"modified":"2026-05-31T03:29:27","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T03:29:27","slug":"gnocchi-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/gnocchi-soup\/","title":{"rendered":"Gnocchi Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From the kitchen of Stephanie Knewasser<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a large pot, over low- med heat, melt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>3 Tbsp butter<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1 c onion, chopped<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1 c carrots, sliced<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1 c celery, sliced<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>3-4 cloves garlic, minced<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cook, stirring occasionally, 8-10 minutes, or until softened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Careful not to brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turn off heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 c flour<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 c to 1 1\/2 c cooked chicken, diced (rotisserie, leftover from making broth&#8230;)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>4 c water<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>4 tsp chicken bullion<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turn heat on med-high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bring soup to a boil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>3 c uncooked potato gnocchi<\/strong><\/em>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/potato-gnocchi\/\">Potato Gnocchi Recipe<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cook 3-4 minutes, or until they float.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 1\/2 c half -n- half<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 tsp thyme<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 Tbsp sugar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>2 Tbsp Romano cheese<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 tsp paprika<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/2 tsp nutmeg<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>salt &amp; pepper<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remove from heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 1\/2 c baby spinach, chopped (fresh, not frozen)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir.
