{"id":3517,"date":"2023-06-19T14:57:33","date_gmt":"2023-06-19T14:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/?p=3517"},"modified":"2026-05-31T03:25:44","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T03:25:44","slug":"quinoa-with-black-beans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/quinoa-with-black-beans\/","title":{"rendered":"Quinoa with Black Beans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From the kitchen of Stephanie Knewasser<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a pan, over medium heat:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 Tbsp canola oil<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 sweet onion, chopped<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>3 garlic cloves, crushed<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saut\u00e9 until onions are transparent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 3\/4 c chicken broth<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 c quinoa<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/4 tsp salt<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1\/8 tsp pepper<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simmer, covered, until liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 15 oz can black beans, drained &amp; rinsed<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 15 oz can diced tomatoes OR 1 1\/4 c fresh<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 4.5 oz can chopped green chilies<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>1 1\/2 c frozen sweet corn<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir.
