{"id":8005,"date":"2025-01-21T15:06:28","date_gmt":"2025-01-21T15:06:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/?p=8005"},"modified":"2026-06-23T20:32:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T20:32:13","slug":"almond-pie-crust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familyrecipesandmore.com\/wordpress\/almond-pie-crust\/","title":{"rendered":"Almond Pie Crust (Crisco)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From the kitchen of Jeannette Little<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a food processor:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>2 1\/4 c flour<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1 tsp salt<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1 Tbsp sugar<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>3\/4 c Crisco<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pulse until crumbly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1\/4 c water<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>2 tsp almond extract<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>1 egg yolk<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pulse until it comes together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This makes a bottom and top crust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NOTES<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you don&#8217;t have a food processor, use a pastry blender.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I use 1 tsp almond extract, 1 tsp vanilla.
