Dutch Beets

canned whole beets (NOT pickled)

apple cider vinegar

salt & pepper

sugar

Shred beets into a pan (drain most juice).

Splash in a few tablespoons apple cider vinegar (maybe 1/4 c?).

Add a little salt & pepper.

Add a couple tablespoons sugar.

Cover & simmer 10-12 minutes.

NOTE

Serve these with mashed potatoes. To be “very Dutch” make Dutch Meatballs & serve apple sauce. -Jaime
