From the kitchen of Michelle Weston
Brown:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 c onion, chopped
1/4 c green pepper, diced
Drain.
Stir in:
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
3/4 tsp garlic powder
Simmer.
Add:
1 1/2 c cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2-3/4 c sour cream
1 egg, beaten
Stir.
Grease a 9×9 baking dish.
Line bottom of pan with 8 oz can Pillsbury biscuits
Pour meat mixture over biscuits.
Top meat mixture with 8 oz can Pillsbury biscuits
Sprinkle extra cheddar cheese on top.
Bake @ 350 for 30-35 minutes or until biscuits are done and nicely browned.
NOTES
- This was a 1970’s recipe that my mom served when I was growing up. I enjoy this recipe because it reminds me of home. I don’t make this often, but it is different and always tastes good. – Michelle
