Cabbage & Noodles

Cook egg noodles according to directions.

Meanwhile, sauté:

1 stick butter

1 onion

Add:

1 head shredded cabbage

1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)

Cover & cook on low-med heat for about 15 minutes.

Season with salt & pepper.

NOTES

  • I used bowtie pasta for the batch in the photo, but it’s much better with egg noodles, as called for. -Stephanie
  • There are several variations of this Polish/ Slovakian dish. KLUSKI Z KAPUSTA is the same as this, only 1/2 c sour cream is stirred in 5 minutes before it is finished.
