Chuck Roast

From the kitchen of Diomira Putano

Put a chuck roast in an oblong roaster pan on top of rack.

Season with:

salt & pepper

parsley

onion slice

garlic

There should be water under rack, as much as possible without touching rack.

Let cook 1 hour @ 375.

Take out, turn, baste.

Cook 1 hour more.

Take out, turn, baste.

Cook 30 minutes more.

Take out, turn, baste. Cook 30 minutes more.

This is a total of 3 hours.

Gravy:

Mix:

4 Tbsp flour

1 c cold water

dash salt

Mix until smooth.

Add: strained pan juice

Stir slowly until a little thick, about 10 minutes.
